Day 8: On to Sin City - Las Vegas!!
travelled via the historic Route 66

deserts of Nevada.. freaking sunny

Mini Egypt - Luxor

this pyramid is really interesting.. the tip of the pyramid has a powerful spotlight that points directly upwards and it is the brightest beam in the world. aeroplanes at flight level has to be directed such as not to be confused by that light
Mini New York

dinner at Buca di Beppo

who's getting married?

the Light Show at Fremont Street

went back to the Strip for some drinks at THEhotel's top floor nightclub called MiX. it has a spectacular view of the vegas strip, even in its toilets! i took the following pics from the toilet cubicle! almost didn't want to come out.. i was like sitting on the toilet bowl while admiring the beautiful views!

wandered around luxor and then headed back to hotel..

Day 9: Las Vegas

first stop is shopping at Las Vegas Premium Outlet!
then we took a cab back to hotel to put our stuff and walked a good 40mins down the Vegas Strip to Caesars Palace to have our dinner. was damn shagged from the shopping and long walk.. but the views along the way was pretty pretty pretty.

Mini Paris

Mini Greek - Caesars Palace
pussycat dolls poker table inside caesars palace casino.. the pole-dancers are damn hot but didnt take any photos of them.. =P

dinner at the Cheesecake Factory was fantastic.

Trump VS Wynn

Day 10: long long ride to Yosemite Gateway
it was already dinnertime when we reached our hotel

Day 11: Yosemite National Park

the bus ride up and down Yosemite was torturous.. it's like the journey to genting, but it's double worse than that. nearly puked but managed to control. nevertheless, it was worth the effort as the scenery are absolutely spectacular!

manxi, one of the few singaporeans on this tour

lovely waterfall
we chose cycling over hiking so that we can cover more ground and have different views of the scenic park

US grad trip IV

Day 12: San Francisco

lunch at the Fisherman's Wharf

gary, our bus driver for the entire trip

the golden gate bridge!! it was damn chilly

limousines can be spotted so frequently in SF

while waiting for the sunset cruise

on board the sunset cruise!

the famous Alcatraz

the wind was so cold that i was wearing 2 layers of warm clothing

sea-lion or seal i couldn't really tell but it came on board our cruise just when it is docking. so cute right

and the day ended with a hot clam chowder and beef stew from Boudin Sourdough Cafe

Day 13: San Francisco
Breakfast at starbucks..
they have omelette sandwiches over there! it's even nicer than mac breakfast

Shopping at Union Square.
3 levels of Forever 21!

Bagfuls of shopping spree!!

celebrated larling's birthday back in the room.. spent my last few bucks on the birthday cake and i had to borrow few dollars from him for his last pressie. haha. hope u like it larling!!

Day 14: Home Sweet Home

at San Francisco Intl Airport

i really had a great deal of fun in the States.. esp in Vegas and San Francisco. although i dun gamble and i'm not a alchoholic, i stil love Vegas because of its beautiful buildings along the Strip. wanted to catch some of the Las Vegas shows or strip shows but they are so damn expensive. =(

oooh.. can't bear to leave but i'd still prefer spore over america. i just feel more comfy with asian food and asian people.

i'll never forget those lovely moments and these photos will be my memory for a long long time. cheers to america

relaxed days

to update on the macRitchie treetop walk.. it rained as we were about to reach the bridge!! was drenched like a poor chicken and our shoes were muddy like shit. there was lighting and thunder and we were so scared that it might just struck us while we cross the 30m-long bridge. we were feeling so vulnerable at the top and open while the thunder keep cracking. the ranger told us not to run across the bridge but heck it! i didn't even get the chance to pause for a moment to enjoy the scenery. i think we spent only 30 secs on the bridge? that's why larling's mum suggest that we go again this thurs! and did i forget to mention that his mum is damn fit?

today was 206 clique outing without spencer. we met for lunch then had a game of pool before watching harold & kumar. that show was freaking comical!! and that's the first time i heard the words "fuck you" so rampantly in a movie. haha. my fav part was the recitation of the lame yet sweet (maths) poem..

I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root three

The three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nine

For nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmetic

I know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationality

When hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a three

As quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer

We break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wands

Our square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed

-David Kleinberg

Any gal upon hearing this would probably just say yes?

After movie, larling brought us to a place where we can play board/card games for free, though drinks weren't free but they were inexpensive. great place to go next time.

playing monopoly with the monopoly queen was a wrong choice. see how happy stella is.. lol
