USS Part I

USS is super fun!! AlthoughUSS is not as big as mega theme parks like Disneyland, and although it doesn't have as many killer rides, I'm still very proud to have our own Universal Studios in our home country. In fact, I enjoyed all of the rides and shows (other than Battlestar Galactica which I couldn't bring myself to do it), particularly Water World! I highly highly recommend to watch this show. For rides, the Revenge of Mummy indoor roller coaster is the most exciting for me, but those with faint hearts better give it a miss. I think we managed to finish all rides and shows as it was a wkday and the waiting time for most rides averaged 5-10 mins :))

We had breakfast before entering USS

Munch munch..

Eat your fill so can puke later. haha

The universal globe

Just nice the crowd cleared when it's larling turn

My zi pai skill seems not bad

After entering USS!!

Preety pushcarts along the streets

Outside Betty Boop's pinky store

The twisted red-blue monster in the background

One of the few shots with both of us in the picture

This is the time when you see my eyes at the smallest.

Didn't expect such a sunny bright day

(Larling)'ll be back to conquer you

Revenge of the Mummy..

my first ride of the day

came out with jello legs

fine, I've got a weak heart

Treasure Hunters ride..

We queued 15mins for this ride but turned out to be quite disappointing

It's more for kids.. can give it a miss

that's the jeep for the ride

I don't see any treasures...

Ok we are back!

Blue track (Cylon) first.

the blue one is with more cockscrews and sharp turns, with your legs suspended in the air

Jia you my dear

Going.. gone

while waiting I tried to catch a shot of him, but failed.

but the second time I got it! you'll see a lil green thing in later pic

The Lost World..

Above the entrance sign is the track of Canopy Flyer.

It's a mild roller coaster ride but it's exciting enough for me already

Castles in the backdrop.. Yep that's Far Far Away

Fairy Godmother's Potion Shop

Fairy Godmother's concoction of potions..
Drinks are sold in those potion bottles but we only realised when we were about to leave USS.

So we walked back to Far Far Away to get one, but the counter have closed!

I whined like a kid.

Then we past by a push-cart selling drinks and I spotted that potion bottle!!

Yayness.. :)))))))))))))))

Hi Lonkey!

I like Lonkey best in Shrek!

Look at his face! Super cute

Can see that Lonkey doesn't like larling

Little Gingy in plush..

Very tempted to buy one home

Princess Fiona's daddy

Goodness.. why's my eyes so small!'

Bring shades when you're gg USS!

Madagascar!

King Julien's carousel!

I like to move it move it

Zeeeeebra!!

I like this pic loads!

Emo-ing with little creatures

Finally lunchie!

Hey dude nice car! Did you pay for the parking?

Changed car so fast?

Mine's nicer!

Mel's Drive-In

Classic 1950s American styled fast food restaurant

Taiwan Trip: 5th Day Home Sweet Home

Last day of the trip, as mentioned in my previous post, we went to Eslite Bookstore again in the morning! Haha. Our interest in shopping seems to diminish with age.
Before checking out, we went to the Family Mart near our hotel to buy 10 bowl noodles! Their beef bowl noodles really has the meat inside unlike the ones we normally buy which comes just with the garnishing.

After we're back from the bookstore, I did my nail art at Ximending;

the nail palour is just opposite Ah Zong Mian Xian

I told larling no matter what I have to do my manicure before gg back to Spore, cos the nail art in Taiwan is cheap and good.

The one I did costs around SGD18. I don't think it's that cheap in Spore, so die die must do in Taiwan! Haha

Tadah! There's one crystal on my every finger.

This is one of the cheapest with simple design. For the more complex ones with more crystals, it'll cost around SGD27
While I was doing my manicure, larling went to buy this danbo robot which costs SGD40++.

Super doodad.

I think this is his most exp single purchase in the entire trip. LOL
Free lunch from 33md as I purchased over SGD50 and they gave me a free voucher for this set

Waiting to board the plane back to home sweet home..
I love my nails
Lastly let me end with a non-related-taiwan-trip pic.. my lovely Cartier:
