the much cherished wkend

one wk of training has passed like a breeze. another two more wks of core training before we start on any engagements. training lessons are quite dry and boring but we hafta count ourselves lucky considering that we have proper training.

working life is really damn sian, have to wake up early and after work just head home straight cos u'll be too tired and lazy to do anything. what's worse for me is not able to see larling for many days. we are so near each other yet so far. our lunch hours and knock-off time just dont match at all. it's so hard to meet even once on wkdays, which is why wkends are so impt to us right now.

noon we went to orchard for a walk. dinner was at crystal jade (korean ginseng chicken and bbq) which is at taka. this crystal jade is unique frm the rest of its crsytal jade restaurants. this particular one is korean concept, with waitresses dressed in korean costumes and menu with korean dishes.

time to get serious

I had a fruitful national day spent before i officially start work on mon. working life means no long holidays, no noon naps, and no more lazing and slacking. oh well, i think i've enjoyed enough in the past three mths of holiday. it's time to bring the buck home and think serious about my future.

anyway back to national day.. in the morn, stella spencer samuel larling n i went to the esplanade area to take our grad shots. many curious eyes were looking at us and it was quite embarrassing at the start. but we couldnt be bothered and sashayed in our robes, frm esplanade over to the merlion, then to fullerton and finally back at esplande. doing that under the scorching heat drenched us with sweat totally! but sunny is better than gloomy, for it rained shortly after we taken our pics. and thankfully, we've got samuel's friend as our photographer that day, snapping away our beautiful faces with her SLR. :)

after that i went to larling's hse to watch vball (women's) olympics prelims! in total i watched 3 matches that day. i was super entralled and impressed by the japan team. i've always find them superior in tactical skills esp in their defense. their libero was flying and diving all over the court, saving every powerful spike by the USA team. the USA team players were like giants towering over the japan players, yet the japanese have a never-say-die spirit putting up a great fight. it was a close match.. japan lost by a small margin. nonetheless, they are stil my fav team and i believe they'll continue to perform well

dinner was at botak jones tgt with his siblings. his family is so much filled with fun and warmth.. always watching tv shows and matches tgt, playing wii tgt, dining tgt.. such a happy family. =)

then at 1130pm, kc and cecilia came over to play mahjong. and we played till 5am. so we went to mac for breakfast. first time we ended so late, even larling said i had panda eyes. it's really quite scary, and ugly too. haha.

alrights, gd luck to me for tml! i'm *SOoo* looking forward to it..

NBS Convo Ball

attending a ball at fullerton was indeed different, unlike those past JC and hall D&Ds.. it was far more classy and posh. for several moments i thought i was attending xj's wedding when she was giving her speeches on the stage. haha. i've got a long shot of u on stage, babe!

our dinner was absolutely gratifying.. i specially liked their codfish and strawberry pudding. and atop the steamed dumpling rice, there was also a small piece of foie gras which i only realise what it is after eating it. it'll be my first and last time eating such cruel delicacy.

and did i mention there's only 6 of us on a table of 10? in the end stella gave us the pigeon instead cos she overslept!! haha. as for the rest i dont know what happened to them to make them forgo their 70bucks tix. so 3 couples on this table and each couple helped themselves to one more portion of food. buurps.

Graduated!!!

Yesterday was convocation ceremony and i've officially graduated! it was so fun running ard in the robe taking photos with friends. the main part of the ceremony is just that few seconds when u walk up the stage, shake hands with the NBS dean and smile for the camera. other than that, the 2hr ceremony itself was quite boring and shunzhang who sat beside me simply just dozed off the first 5 mins. haha
