Melbourne 2009

Basically there's nothing much to do in Melbourne, no night life, no shopping. Shops close at latest 6pm, and their shopping brands are all unheard of. We should have stayed at the Crown Promenade where their casino is situated so we can go gambling at night! haha.
We joined day tours which brought us to Philip Island, farms, Yarra Valley, wildlife parks, the Twelve Apostles etc. I must say Australia have a great collection of native animals, which i really like all of them! It'd be nice to have a farm in Aussie, with all the lovely animals in your backyard.. then i can have cows, goats, sheeps, horses, and maybe penguins as my pets! haha.

Changi T3
Queen Victoria Market.
It's their grocery-shopping place, but to us, it's like a mega pasar malam.

Wombat!
It looks cute over here, but in real life it looks like a wild boar.

Cute tissue box cover

Fresh fruits and veggies at low rates

Mega hotdog with lotsa cheese

Warrook Cattle Farm!
Kangaroos are damn cute!! How i wish i can bring them home as my pet!
They are not afraid of humans at all and they'll let you pet them.
This is a joey i guess..

looks like your dog

they are so guai

Lovely beach

Not forgetting my mario jump

Koala Conservation Centre
Here the koalas are busy sleeping, while the Koalas in the wildlife park mentioned below is more active!

Big koalas

I'm not lazy too

This shot was taken by having self-timer on the camera placed on the bench.

Australia has many scenic coastal views..
til i can't remember which bay or coast are these.. haha

Philip Island's penguin parade!

everyday during dusk, thousands of little fairy penguins would emerge from Summerland Beach and waddle to their burrows on hills. Those penguins are really the mini kinds, not the usual big fat ones in arctic. their legs are so mini, yet they are able to make such a long journey back home. super impressed with them.

a waste that no photography allowed, so i can only pull it from GOOGLE!

Fairy penguins are sooo cute!!

these are the burrows of the little penguins' home..
spot a wallaby in the midst

this sign is super cute.. some of the little penguins might lose their way back to their burrow homes and wander to the carparks.. if i ever see one, i'll bring it back home! haha

Next daytour - Great Ocean Road Adventure
While waiting for the bus..

The Twelve Apostles
These are limestone stacks rising from the Southern Ocean. As to why the apostles exist only in the Great Ocean Road, i'm really not sure. any geog lovers can tell me why?

Despite the name being Twelve Apostles, there are not twelve individual stacks visible in any one location. From this view we can only see 4- 5 apostles? After google-ing Twelve Apostles, then i realised that the one on the left collapsed in 2005.

More info taken from Google regarding the creation of apostles:
1. Wave action erodes the cliff face, leaving harder rock as headlands.
2. Waves eat away the rock at sea level, forming caves on each side of the headland.
3. The caves eventually meet up, forming an arch.
4. The arch collapses, leaving a rock stack.
5. Further undercutting by waves and opening up of vertical cracks in the rock by rain and saltwater, gradually reduce the stack to a low platform or reef.

..The wonders of nature.

Loch Ard Gorge is also created the same way

same goes for the london arch / london bridge

The Dandenong ranges - full of lush ferns and towering timbers

The Puffing Billy Steam Train
Australia's oldest steam rail

full of steam..

This is the old sch way of riding the trains..

Disembarked the choo choo train

Real charcoal fireplace in the Fergusson Winery's restaurant

superman.. forgot to change outfit

Pinot Noir from Fergusson Winery..

Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary - home to Australia's native wildlife
Australia's largest bird - emu

Most of the time i see koalas rolled up in a ball sleeping away.
But this one in the wildlife park actually moved! it was really a rare sight, as koalas sleep 20 hours a day, so they'll only move during that short span of 4 hrs.. how lucky!

moving around the trunks.. it looks very clumsy but it's quite agile actually

getting ready in sleeping position

I wanna be a koala too!!

Zi pai with a SLR

Echidna
A marsupial that looks like a porcupine but acts like an anteater.
my house would be ants-free if it's my pet.

A wallaby that looks like a donkey.
Wallabies are smaller kangaroos but darker in colour.

The only thing i like about Australia is their native animals!
My fav would be fairy penguins and young of a kangaroo, joey!

Cheers~

Pain t Ball with DTT lovelies

Last sat was suppose to be our sentosa outing, but it turned out to be a inter-CPA paintball training session. It rained in the morning, so it foiled our plans for sentosa in the noon, but paintball training still carries on, with all the mud and soil. Paintball is all about strategy, teamwork, and PAIN! You'll find the innocent-looking ball not so innocent after all when u're being hit by it.. the feeling is like hallelujah. Some idiot shot me on the butt, and i've not found that culprit yet.. haha. it's fun, really.. everyone should try the paint and the pain.

the setting of the war field..

getting ready.. oooh it's so scary

me in action..
try squatting in that position for 15mins.. i went home with muscle cramp after that.

this idiot keep aiming me, for what freaking reason i also have no idea.
but he's damn lousy, keep missing me. BOOO

this guy is damn good.. he planted the flag 3 out of 4 rounds.

After painball we went home to wash up first before meeting for dinner again.. all were so tired that we nearly pang seh each other. But all still made it!

POK POK POK POK POK and me

Almond..

and more almonds

POK and steve.. almond and i were two bright lamps..

Wedded.. My coussie

20.09.2009 was the date of my coussie's wedding. It's a pretty date that they've chosen and I guess it hadnt been easy booking that date for solemnisation and wedding lunch to be held on the same day.
May their love last for centuries..

I've attended relatives' weddings, but not friends'. I can imagine how fun it'll be to be 'jie mei'. Can my lovely girlfriends hurry get wedded? :D

First family photo with darling in it!!

Slugs and Sluts on the clouds..

It's really heartwarming to have fun-loving colleagues amidst shitty work environment. 8 of us embarked on a genting trip on fri morn. yes, all 7 of us took leave together except for Steve, who's of HIGHER status than us and thus he couldnt take leave due to MORE workload.

It was a 3 day 2 night trip, and some ppl ask what's there to do at Genting for 3 days. But 3 days to us was too short to be real as we really had loads of fun. I think the main fun part for the guys would be more of gambling, but we girls enjoyed at spending time talking rubbish and playing all kinds of games - from card games to bonding games to arcade games. All these could be done at someone else's house or chalet, but to accomodate the boys' gambling wants, we went all the way up to the clouds. I tried my hand at Roulette, and it turned out positive! haha. Gambling is really quite addictive, and I actually had to control myself from placing anymore bets. But Genting casinos are damn smoky, and always packed with aunties and uncles, who'll keep shoving u aside to place their bets. Super irritating. We'll conquer Macau next time! haha.

Onboard 707 JB bus.. standard was unexpectedly good, though there's the hassle of taking the bus at JB. but it's cheap, only RM110 for round trip. we're all poor auditors, what to do.

upon reaching Hotel Theme Park.. first thing is to nua and camwhore. This hotel was unexpectedly good as well! though there's quite a walking distance to the casinos and shopping centre, but again, it's cheap!

Hwa zai and Da Shu willingly made a slutty pose for the camera. they're just so natural at it. classic pic of the trip.

First group shot without Steve. He took the midnight bus up and we thought that he was super garung, but whether he was garung to gamble or anxious to see someone, we are really not sure. =D

Then we played Citadel before hitting the jackpots and poker tables
proudly stolen cards from poh poh

It was super foggy the first day, could hardly see 5m away.

Haha, one of my fav shots.. brushing teeth together

Looking affectionately at each other.. so that we can have nightmare that night.

Who's who?

Daybreak.. the slugs couldnt wake up, so we dao pok them!!

these chicks were exchanged back from our arcade winnings. It was our hard-earned winnings from 2 days of arcade-ing. hopefully the chicks are still surviving in Steve's hands.. haha.

final group shot with two additional chicks before we leave for spore..

.
.

few months back we had an impromptu outing at marina barrage. it was suppose to be a east coast cycling affair, but the bad weather failed us. nevertheless, it was a funderful day as usual, with ah cai driving us around in his mini sch bus.

awww.. woh woh is sho cute!

what a fortunate dog, with maria and co-maria. LOL

then we had katong laksa before heading to PS for movie.. .
.

Cheers to Slugs and W.P.Gs (Sluts) :)
